Please let everyone in West Virginia know that the July statewide RMT
launched by FEMA last month to the PEP stations in Nevada went very well.
There were multiple compliments from broadcasters on the improved audio
quality from the PEP stations and the test propagated across the entire
state although there were some stations which did not rebroadcast the test
due to issues with the programming in their EAS equipment. The station
staffs are addressing those issues so the test was worthwhile. The
cooperation between FEMA, the PEP stations and our broadcasters was
excellent and the SECC wants to make this an annual event.
