In that EAS advice, as I do in all my advice to clients and others
on all logging matters:
1. Always tell the truth to the best of your ability in a log entry
2. Let you communications attorney know what the situation is and
make sure the attorney signs off
3. Always tell the truth to the best of your ability in a log entry*
* [Yes, I know this is a repeat of advice point #1]

It's better to tell the truth and take the hit, than to lie and take
a bigger hit for violating the rules AND lying. The Federal Broadband
Commission doesn't look kindly on folks who "misrepresent" in their
official filings. I don't remember whether there's a specific question about
EAS on the license renewal form, but my gut check says fabricating records
or logs is probably not the best approach.
...and omissions of facts like when the new equipment was placed into
service are probably almost as bad as not being truthful...Thank you all for
your words of wisdom. They will be passed on!
