The DASDEC can do this currently via both RCS NexGen and WideOrbit
Automation systems - the DASDEC has IP interfaces to both these systems -
you can traffic an RWT and your automation system can take the traffic logs
and execute it. We can also do it hold and alert based on GPI logic.

That's a true observation. You made me think of a way to alleviate this.
Possibly one of the "time squeezer" units such as 25-Seven Systems audio
time manager, controlled by the ENDEC itself could make it so an EAS
activation never again cuts out broadcast material.
The cost of silicon goes down every year. Maybe the time compression
function should be integrated into the EAS box itself. What a sales tool...
"Our EAS units will never cause the broadcaster to skip over broadcast
audio".
[snip]
After decades of use, they are conditioned to expect something important
when a data burst or attention tone interrupts a song or ball game.
Uh.....
Most are conditioned to be P.O'd when it interrupts a ball game !
