[EAS] CMAS - Volume 3

If you have not heard - We here in Washington State had our 3rd experience
with CMAS.   AT 444 PM yesterday afternoon my Cell phone started emitting
sounds very close to the old EBS/EAS 'Attention Signal'.   Grabbing my phone
I found the following text - 

 

AMBER Alert:  Check local 

Media. LIC/B27504V (WA) 1998

Black Ford F-150.

 

This was received several minutes before the Amber Alert hit our EAS system.

 

Can't wait until the rest of the country gets to experience this - A couple
of areas of confusion- 

 

1-    What is meant by 'Check Local Media'  

2-    Most feel that this is part of EAS.
