[EAS] [BC] Password cracking basics

Every radio-TV station I have ever visited has one or more satellite receivers tuned to various program suppliers. Does anyone know for certain if the traditional news organizations are EAS participants at the Presidential-EAN level? (CNN, FOX, AP, ABC, CBS, etc)
 
Also, SiriusXM has a good footprint, and I have heard EAS RWT's on SiriusXM.
 
I've got a spare SXM receiver that is unsubscribed. It's a good time now to do an experiment and attach the free "barker" channel to an old Sage 1822 and see what happens.

The internet is far more redundant than, say, a 2 or 4 wire telco link to some emergency message disseminator. A wired plus a wireless plus a satellite connection would get you a lot of rendundancy, if that was important to you.

But if you have a better idea, it would be interesting to hear it.
