I'm with Dave T. This: "2. A free or sharply subsidized SBE online course on IT security focused on the needs of engineers with limited IT skills and limited budget."

...would be hugely helpful. I have stations where the owner is the engineer and also the news director. Where the owner is also the sales manager, the webmaster, and the play-by-play announcer for high school basketball, and he has a very part-time engineer coming in once a week to apply the duct tape. Cybersecurity is way down the to-do list for a lot of these folks, and not necessarily in the wheelhouse for a lot of our engineers who see age 29 dimly in the rear-view mirror. I'm considering hiring an IT firm to conduct audits on my stations as a member service. Ray's postings about ongoing probes of boxes in the wild, and the possible implications of that, have me very, very nervous. "Change your password, now and often" is good advice, but it isn't enough.

PS - Great discussion, all.
