Why not ask the FCC to add a "SYS" event code--"System Operational 
Message"? I'm guessing that it would be a relatively simple matter for 
the manufacturers to add an event code to their next software update. 
Perhaps even configure the units' GUI to *prevent* forwarding of a "SYS" 
event--gray out the option to forward on the GUI so it's not even 
available for that event type...
