Thanks for that bit of info.
I was feeling left out having not received all of those RWT's.

The time zone alignment might only be a problem for a statewide test.
For an RWT from FEMA, it shouldn't matter that part of NE, for instance, is in the Central TZ and part in the Mountain.

I'm not sure of the logic behind sending to each time zone separately.
Isn't it more work with greater chance of failure, than just sending one to the whole country at the same time?

Things that trigger real EAS alerts have been described as being immune to state borders.
Aren't they likewise immune to time zones?
And historically, there has never been anything on a national scale that has triggered an actual nationwide alert, accidental activations aside.

If FEMA had several points of origination, one in each time zone then it might make sense to test by time zone.
FEMA's sister organization, NWS, is already doing RWT's on the same day of the week and the same time of day, at least here in East Husker-Nation.
It would be nice if someone mixed it up a bit.
