Hi all
My queries weren't in the least intended as negative comments on the
message text formatting or wordsmithing. In fact, I applaud the NWS for
relaying these two non-weather related call to action messages even if
one was nothing more but a directive to sit tight. My question related
strictly to whether the locals originating the message also sent it to
FEMA for wider distribution to other stakesholders.
As you say Richard, emergencies are local. And it's events such as this
which will hopefully draw light to the disparity and disconnect in
communications between local and federal distribution points beyond the
NWS. NWS has well established relationships in that regards. But it's
also taken decades to make that happen. Here's hoping FEMA and
CAP/IPAWS accomplishes that much sooner.
