So this brings me right back to my original question:

We are all supposed to have these magic boxes by June 30.

Which, for the most part, will not generate a damm thing
that will be useful.

And, theoretically, if they are used by state organizations
to create something useful this puts the station in
violation of the rules??

(Which is why I suggested someone stand up at the NAB and
ask this very question.
Which, of course, will be followed by the usual "we're
studying that," bafflegab. Which should then be followed by
the question of why are we being forced to buy these things
when you folks don't know what you want to do with them.

Embarrassing the hell out of these Washington idiots can be
very effective. Mike should remember the Rostenkowski
effect.  Several little old ladies beating on hood of a
Congressman's limousine trumps 40 carefully prepared
objections.
