[EAS] Should the RWT EAS Code be abolished?

In cell phones, I think the cost per unit would be pennies, if that 
much. The cellular industry, in all their whining against an FM mandate, 
refuses to acknowledge that they *already* offer many phones with that 
capability built in. We have two of them in my house now. I've read that 
Apple has used a chip capable of FM reception in every iPhone since the 
3gs--it's the chip that handles the wifi, Bluetooth and cellular data 
RX/TX, IIRC. So the cost to Apple would be nil, and I'll bet dollars to 
donuts that there's at least one creative app developer who could write 
a good FM radio app *with* SAME capability. The only obstacles are 
Apple, which fears a loss of business for the iTunes Store, and the 
wireless carriers, who love those huge bills for streaming media...
