[EAS] DC FIPS code

This latest thread confuses me. I was under the impression from day one that we needed to include the DC FIPS code in our endecs (I'm TFT here, with v.87.2.EN firmware). I recall a great debate over this specific thing. I was planning on removing the DC FIPS code from my units post-test, but am I to understand that they shouldn't be in there at all now?
