[EAS] General Question: Can't it be a software solution?

I agree with Lowell.
I use the MSRP multi-station relay panels at studio clusters and they work
fine. But I also use the XLR audio cable interface provided on the back of
the Sage Endec. If you need to remove the unit from service a simple
unplugging and re-plugging the cables M to F with only a brief 1 second drop
out per individual channel is all it takes. Simple enough. So, why jump
through hoops, complicate your air chain and thus expose it to more single
points of failure?
And BTW, the Endec Digital for CAP is 100% compatible with existing MSRP's.
