[EAS] General Question: Can't it be a software solution?

Most of us are geographically challenged regarding the G-R boxes.  Having a
unit that requires a visit to the factory to D/L new firmware let alone
simple setups disqualified them from my list a long time ago.  I wince
whenever I have to deal with one at a client who chose cost over utility.

The Gorman Redlich box can be software upgraded for new codes--for me that's
a 45 minute drive over to Athens.
