Just remember a couple of things about earthquakes
> They come in a large variety of types. - Single bumps, jerking motions
(side to side type) Rolling etc etc (see them all)
> They come in a variety of durations from short jolts to - I wonder it this
will ever stop.
> Big ones will leave their mark on you. A truly big quake will cause
everyone near it to remember exactly what they were doing and where they
were when it hit.
> The measurement system for earthquakes is - NOT - linear.
> Animals are great predictors of quakes.
> Regardless of the fact there is an Earthquake Event Code....this is NOT
designed to be used to PREDICT one...(The Japanese are working on that one
and we all know how successful they were this last time) The EQW is for
dealing with events afterward.
