Hi Steve,
I'd be remiss if I didn't jump in at some point on behalf of Trilithic,
Inc.
I believe that the numbers being tossed around for the cable television
industry concerning marketplace saturation, CAP readiness, and installed
CAP base are based more on hypothesis or marketing than fact.
Rather than getting into more abstract reasoning, I can state for a fact
that every Trilithic EASy Series Encoder/Decoder can be upgraded for CAP
Compliance by selecting one of our two EASyCAP solutions.
Trilithic has been shipping one CAP solution for 45 days and, beginning
next week, will be shipping a second CAP solution, consisting of an
integrated EASyCAP 1U server.
Additionally, Trilithic has completed the IPAWS Conformity Assessment
Program, and is awaiting documentation.
Regards,
Dom
