Your point is well understood and, if you have been reading the
comment made by Richard Rudman and I, for many years, you
would have known that we are highly critical of systems that are
subject to 'Backhoe Fade'.

While I was chair of the SBE EAS Committee, the Society filed
comments with the FCC requesting that specific spectrum be
set aside for WIRELESS distribution of Public Warning Messages.
The FCC, using their infinite wisdom, denied it.

So why the use of the Internet at all ?

For a couple of significant reasons -

1 - It's there....A huge number of stations, people etc are connected to it
right now.

2 - No expense to create something else ....If you have not noticed we are
in a cash-crunch.

3- When it is not dug-up - It works wonderful.

The best thing that could happen now is for everyone to get on this
band-wagon and support wireless Point-Multi-Point distribution systems.
Quite frankly when Richard and I were pushing this so hard we felt very much
like lone wolves.

Can we count on your support this time?

Clay Freinwald
