Thanks for that clarification. So, looks like my concern about having to deal with double logging might not be valid.
I'd be interested to see exactly what the existing EAS decoder box's tape would log from a CAP converter input as the originator.
Yes, a governor mandatory CAP EAS event could use existing codes that a current EAS device would recognize.
However, using a CAP converter appears to cripple the ability of CAP to convey audio in the voice of the governor or designee through an audio file attachment. While "Perfect Paul" text-to-speech will work, is that what we want to hear?
