Notes on the article I wrote that Barry posted on the EAS Forum website:

1. This article was originally written for the California Broadcasters Association. I attempted to purge the version Barry posted of California references. I missed one. The last line in the "what Can You Expect" section should read: 

We do not advise that broadcasters buy and install CAP converters based on what we know now.

2. The "Tale of Three States" section reference to Nevada was awaiting an update from Adrienne Abbott, NV SECC Chair. 

3. This Just In: An excellent video describing the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) for Broadcast, public safety, and emergency management EAS implementers has been posted on You Tube:
