[BC] What happened to broadcast.net?

I think Ron refers mostly to the actual website www.broadcast.net and the vanity email which was formerly hosted there (which I used for over a decade myself). I believe it has been a couple of years since the vanity email service worked; a search found that whoever was hosting the website and the email addresses was a company who had been blacklisted by most all ISP's which did not speak well to me of the future of the actual website.
I last checked the actual site a couple months ago for some software download from the past and it was partially working - a lot of boxes without graphics and a lot of broken links, probably just a victim of new browser upgrades and the site not being made compatible.
Sad to see it go, I became affiliated with it in the 90's and thought it was a great portal for us.
