That's amazing!  Irish tape was mostly the ends of major production reels, 
sometimes not well slit so the 1/4 inch tape wound get stuck in tape guides. 
It was an economy brand and Lafayette Radio sold a lot of it along with 3M 
111.

But two inch wide tape???    It might have been used in some oddball audio 
logger.
