I agree about the RJ45s. I generally dislike the whole Radio Systems approach.  One of the biggest messes I have ever seen was at a major high profile NYC station using the RS approach. 66 blocks would have been better.  Fortunately both Axia and Wheatstone offer DB connectors that can be brought to the block of your choice. It is unfortunate that they both waste so much real estate on RJs. 

I did use RJ 45s 20 years ago for night club remotes using single jack wall boxes. One color was 4 pair to and from the club mixer and another was the ISDN. We had a packaged system with a mix, radio mic, minidisc and Zephyr all per wired. So when the DJs ( real DJs and not radio pronouncers)  showed up hammered 5 minutes before air all they had to do was match colors to get on air. We had cables that matched the jack colors.
