The source of Negative Entropy Conservation is the nuclear reaction occurring at the earth's core. NEC doesn't work on bodies not having nuclear cores, such as the moon. Gravity is considered a 'conservative force' but it's really the withdrawal or deposit of energy from/into that reaction -- thus making it a perpetual motion machine.

BTW: In that case, it's down a paddle with a creek -- the correct obverse of the common expression.
