There are various hinged covers available which work with either the
colored T-handled bridges or simple bridging clips. They come in various
colors which can work well when segmenting blocks between analog, control,
AES, telco (RJ-21X), in-house telco, and other kinds of functions as well
as labeling on the covers. Can't do that with any other block. There are
also the clear clip-on covers as well which keep foriegn objects away from
the clips.
They're not any bigger or smaller than the Krone blocks. Can't speak for
BIX.
Frankly, I'm with Alan on this one. I see no compelling reason to not use
them (new) where appropriate.
