Absolutely.. Works great for audio applications. They are intended and
designed for solid wire such as cat 3,5 or 6. It's us silly radio guys
that keep punching stranded wire (which they aren't intended for) into
them.
Probably works for data as well, but is not compliant with the standards
for Ethernet cabling.
When reusing old blocks always check for left over insulation and wire
stubs, those can cause troubles. A slight rock side to side of the punch
tool after punching will tend to tighten the contact.
