My point was that based on the troubleshooting advice of the Jones network techs following their change to a digital Wegner RX, we replaced the dish (interference from adjacent sats), long convoluted feed line (too much loss), re-aimed, re-aimed, re-aimed, etc, etc only to find that the rx was being over driven by even the original dish and line.  This found when the client finally decided to rent a spectrum analyzer.  A roll of cheap Walmart RG-59 gave a little over 10db loss and allowed the system to run for several years.
