And BTW, so can bats. I found that out when I lived in Minnesota and had my hamshack in the basement.  I happened to be staring at a crack in the foundation wall when a bat wriggled through a hole in the wall about the diameter of a wooden lead pencil. It's an amazing feat!  I caught and killed the critter. It's skull was larger than the hole. Can they collapse their skulls? Amazing critters, those varmints! (Or is it the other way around?)
