 No I don't off-hand know of anything other than the light-bright thing
 many radio stations hang in the control room, commanded by serial
 data, to display various messages. Most notably ( what I've seen )
 EAS receiver activations, spelling out whether it was a test, or something
 requiring operator attention.

 As to the acronym, I see no reason to start making things up.
 Too many do that already. It's a hindrance, not a help.
