 Yes, we all understand that we do get to know the ones we
 use frequently. VSWR, ATU, AM, FM, FCC, NSA, FBI, IRS...

 Unfortunately, it's gotten so that the smaller minds seem to think
 that you ain't s*** if you don't have an acronym, and that anyone
 who doesn't know the acronym is obviously unimportant.

 The thinking is quite wrong, and I am not afraid or ashamed to
 admit that I know much, Much, *Much* more about radio than
 I know about acronyms.
 Just because someone knows the letters VSWR, or even just SWR
 doesn't mean they know how to find the current loop, and, if they
 know how to find the loop, they don't need to know the letters !
