But... The FCC doesn't __really__ want to know anything. They just want __your__ frequency and __your__ money. This is all leading up to the supposition that the current Broadcasting environment does not provide sufficient "security" for the masses. The Government wants to set up a single government-controlled "Broadcasting Center," patterned after the BBC with local stations only being RCO (Remote Communication Outlets). They already have the words and they already have the plans. what they are doing now is demonstrating that the current privately-owned and operated Broadcast system is "unworkable."
Wake up! The broadcasters need to stop supporting the current administration and the stalemated Congress. Otherwise, there __will__ no longer be privately-owned and operated broadcast stations. BTW, when the government comes to take your station, they __will__ use my tax money to __pay__ you for it. You will have monetary reason to object. While you have a chance, you need to stop the bleeding or else broadcasting will be a distant memory.
Cheers,
Richard B. Johnson

If the FCC wants to know all this then they should hire local people to
visit stations to inspect, maintain and test the systems (overnight) to
ensure proper operation. EAS was forced upon broadcasters. Twice. We had to
pay for equipment, provide Internet access and monitor activity and then
find out why and log missed tests? It's gotta stop somewhere.
