[BC] Need AF line leveler

My cable company, Comcast, cannot control levels, the the problem is much worse between channels. For example, TNT must be 10 dB hotter than every other channel, and complaints don't get anywhere.

I gave up and bought two Aphex Compellors on eBay for $200 each. Sometimes they are less, sometimes more, with the AES/EBU versions going for nearly double. I would have loved to buy Orban Cooperators, but they are much more expensive. The Compellors work great. Back in the days of analog processing, they were on all my stations console outputs. Unless you go full clockwise nuts on them, you cannot hear them work, but they are doing their job.

One thing you should do is train proper mic technique, and you could put level warming lights on the mixer. Nothing like a 150 Watt yellow flood warming to increase the level, and a 150 Watt red flood warning to turn it down. Kind of works in radio too, though many jocks will find a way to unscrew the lamps.
