James,

This is a work in progress. But Sound Exchange handles most streaming
matters regardless of genre.

The OTA broadcast of live music performance is generally covered under
the blanket composer license (BMI/ASCAP/SESAC) and the exempt
performance class offered broadcast radio stations. If you're referring
to plays or other written/spoken only content where there is no music,
that's something entirely different which I'm unfamiliar.

I've followed the legal mess over the years, and have worked in stations with ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC blanket agreements. I'm also interested in royalties pertaining to live stage performances of copyrighted works that go OTA and/or stream. Point me in the right direction, please, somebody.
