Agreed.  Someone has to close the sale and accept the payment,
but in my not always humble opinion, the entire process is part of 
"selling".
Heavy saturation and extreme repetitiveness can affect some potential 
customers
in  a negative way.  The same applies to a salesman who calls on the client 
so
often that the client buys something just to get rid of the guy.   No good 
feeling or
lasting relationship is developed.
