[BC] Diplexing AM Stations

We've diplexed onto a common tower with 50kHz separation on more than one occasion. They worked fine. Only 40kHz separation is pushing the limits possibly too far. I've done 2-stage filters for nearby stations that were only 27kHz apart for an international project (not my idea, but insisted upon by the customer), and yes, the filters wrecked the bandwidth thoroughly.

If you could run the two stations on the same site, but on different towers, you may get away with the 40kHz separation, but I wouldn't want to say for sure without digging into a design in detail.

Best Regards,
Bobby Cox

Is 960 kHz too close in frequency to 1000 kHz to be diplexed into one tower?
