I skipped a History class exam to head down to the Customs House at 2nd &
Chestnut Sts. in  Philly to take my First Phone. Passed. Already had amateur
General Class.  The rest is my career history.  BTW:  I belonged to three
unions working my way through college and they paid derned well. The fat
cats upstairs got theirs, and the unions helped us get ours.  Management
hates unions because it cuts into their bonuses and golden parachutes.
Pity.
