[BC] SBE Life Membership Changes

I was a contractor which served largely rim shot, 2nd and 3rd tier 
stations initially before going full time in the city. Each client knew 
of the SBE and they didn't bat an eye. Nor did I give them reason to either.

I agree that at one time this may have been an issue as when any few of 
anything gather and organzie, folks thing collective bargaining. But 
these days of multi-station clusters and corporate goals, managers have 
more to be concerned with than whether their employee is a member of 
some professional society. And more over, managers with narrow views 
like that tend to stay in small markets and not grow.  So the small 
market ignorance perpetuates....for good and bad.

Whether colleagues share their salary/compensation information is really 
none of their manager's business.  Any manager which tries to impose 
that mandate on me will become an ex-manager of mine... No employer is 
going to limit who I can socialize with or around except where ethical 
or legal conflicts come into play.
