Neither have I, but the perception was there by small-minded GMs.

I once had a newly promoted GM that FORBADE me to associate with  
engineers from another station. ( my previous employment )

Direct Quote.... "You can't be on my team if you associate with the  
"competition" ".

I had close to twenty years friendships with my old employment and, as  
you can imagine, that didn't work out.
