On a different front, researchers have used a material named Graphene to
create what is the smallest FM transmitter yet. The entire
transmitter/exciter is smaller than a pencil tip. This TX only puts out
a few uW given it's size. But was received and listenable by a typical
table radio.

Graphene is reportedly the next building block for all things
electronic. It's atomic structure allows single atom thick layered
semi-conductors with greater durability than multi-atom thick silicon
based systems.
