Agreed. Barry and I experienced something similar in Tucson. The control tower
at Tucson International Airport was hearing our 92.9 in their radios. Barry
and I went there and the first thing I asked was whether they were using any
RF preamps. When they removed the preamp the problem disappeared. We decided
to be "good neighbors" and bought them a GLB Helical Resonator/preamp tuned to
their frequency as a gift. Barry and their tech put it in and AFAIK it is
still working great.

Interfering with a competitor does not constitute such an emergency requiring
immediate action. A FCC inspector who really wants to find out if something is
interfering would have scheduled an appointment so that systems can be shut
down and restarted as necessary to troubleshoot. Something smells.
