Gents:

Here's why: Having worked in electronics factories for years, I can tell
you that the costs for depot repair facilities and the related service
personnel, manuals, procedures, training, and spare parts inventory are
astronomical. It's only worth it for high-end products. Berheinger sells a
wide variety of electronic products at astoundingly cheap prices. I have
numerous little audio boards at on the job at radio stations and churches
around the country. Average price: about $34 at Guitar Center. Even the
higher functional boards are still cheap by any standard -- you couldn't buy
the parts for their full list prices. Therefore, Berhinger products are
throw-away items. Door stops, if you can't find a patent lawyer. Just buy
another one -- better yet, buy some spares while you're at it -- and
quityerbitchin'

>Service is not one of their missions.

Berhinger is a *sales* company. Except for warranty repairs which you send
back, customer support for them is an afterthought.
