 Yes, and because I lived "within the first mile," I had to walk (up hill both ways --in the dark).  Once I had a automobile, I visited the old town of North Brookfield, MA., and discovered that my parent's house was well outside the first mile (1.6). I was ripped-off all those grade-school years and that's probably why my life was a failure ---sniff.
