Also, motors that mount on the bottom of a deck like a PA box, can often be replaced with a more modern version by constructing a "butch-plate," a sheet of aluminium that has holes for the new motor and the holes in the PA box. When a butch-place seems impossible because of hole interference, a box can be constructed that interfaces between the PA box and the new motor. A sheet-metal fab-shop can make these things for reasonable costs if you make a good drawing and are not in a hurry. I have replaced many Centramax blowers that are no longer available by doing this. The finished project looks good as well.

small motor. But sometimes that's the only way to sustain that device.
