I've done this a couple times to over anxious managers and PD's:  "Which 
priority project do you want me to perform?  Talk with you on the phone 
or continue working to return the (insert device of choice) back to 
operation?"

The rather blunt, but honest and respectful presentation resets their 
priorities and they get the message real quick.

I've also had it done to me a time or two when I was also a little over 
anxious.
