 It might be Clarence Beverage ?
 Someone out there did build an array which feed a slanted cage
 of wire "radials" against a grounded vertical tower, similar to
 the conventional "droopy drawers" ground plane antenna.

 As far as I know, it worked fine, but licensing was an issue.
