I think the same thing happend for "FM Quad":  the marketplace decided 
it wasn't needed.

At the time that item came to be my hearing suddenly took a turn for the 
worse but those
that could hear in both ears told me that it was amazing.   Both the GE 
and the RCA
systems had that same auditory attribute.
