Early yesterday we got hit with one of those hijacked account problems, where a "legit" account is hijacked and a dangerous URL is sent into a list.
None of us like it when we are presented with these bad emails/spams/trojans. Unfortunately, the only really 100% effective way to prevent these is to stop all incoming emails for verification manually. I don't think we want that.
But some of the emails that have come in regarding the bad email have been rather coarse, shall we say.
Let me assure you the individual whose name was used yesterday morning is a classy guy who would never do anything bad. I know him well. I've been a guest in his home.
Instead, let us all take a moment to reflect on the many ways our passwords can be intercepted or accounts hijacked. And that doesn't include the spoofs that happen.
Please save your vitriol for the real bad guys.
thanks
