Our DASDEC mails me a weekly log every Sunday morning at 00:00:01.
All I do is:
1. Copy the text of the email
2. Paste it into a Word Pad template that's set up with a header for the
date and a signature block.
3. Save, print, review, sign.
4. File in a 3-ring binder.
Couldn't be simpler. The PIA was having to chase down operators on all 3
shifts and getting them to make or correct EAS log entries.
The rules provide explicitly that stations may maintain separate EAS
logs, which then become a part of the main station log, so no problem
there. When we had our alternate inspection last fall, the inspector was
quite pleased by the way I had things set up.
