I think that the fire official should not have been removed from office. The fire official knocked the microphone away after it was shoved into his face by an arrogant reporter who staged the confrontation. I'm fairly sure that many viewers agree.

That said, the fire official would have been better served if he spoke in a quiet, educated, and controlled voice without the swears and then batted the microphone into the next county. That would have made a much greater impact.
