your station might become a "while we were in the neighborhood" inspection
destination given the attention focused on LPFM's of late.
-----------------------------
This is *exactly* my concern, Mike. I've been there in the past and am very
much familiar with the "while we're in town" thing so, despite the fact that
I have no real association with this, I'd very much like to head off any
potential problem long before anything happens.
I also would like to thank everyone else for the comments and suggestions.
Believe me, I'm reading each and every one of them and watching carefully.
My real worry here is that, with this going on right here in town and a 5kw
AM less than 20 miles away that hasn't even had a transmitter in the
building since 2006 but who just filed for renewal and certifies that
they're "broadcasting to the public" at least one week each year, I am just
a bit worried that we may become "lumped in with the rest" and be hit
heavily simply because of being here.
Yes, I'm VERY careful. Yes, everything is as much "in order" as can be but,
I am also very painfully aware that even the most meticulously run operation
will have a few minor issues and that, if an inspector is truly determined
to find something, he (she) most definitely will.
I just don't want someone from Atlanta to go to stations with serious
(willful) violations and then to come to ours while they're still on a
"violation high".
