Wow,
After restating the question to a much calmer color blind PD she wasn't sure why but she really cant tell which of her two clocks are red or green she really never noticed till now. But she has no problem seeing the processor in the STL rack peak green to 3 amber and some red.
No problem with the AEQ console the meters contrast and she can easily see three different intensities across the board. And associate those intensities to green amber red using the meter stack to compare she can tell RED from Green on the board and red amber green on stack.
The backup console is a small 8 channel with incadecent cue/mute all white but the red amber green meter stack has less than AEQ and OMB but obvious to her.
The Makie production board no contrast but the every LED is clearley labeled on both board and backsplash. I never noticed but in the picture you can see it clearly.
she has a little beringer mixer and the blue LEDs are bright. When I told her there were no blue LEDs (just testing) she reminded me of the day she visited another station I have and the News director has a little phosgate play back amp on his rack with blue vue meters that should be classified as nonlethal weapons. I was in the kill zone when I installed it a year ago the image is still burned on my retina and the tan spots on my forehead are permanent.
She pointed out that the blue LEDS look the same to her as the phosgate weapon.
Now she went and got that clock in production and set it next to the red one and the green was more intense but it started flashing and the red one appeared to be much dimmer but she doesnt have a preference.
My eternal thanks for this research oppritunity. She appreciated that someone finally asked her. Now It's my job to get a pair of Makie goose neck lamps or equivilent out of the CHENG in arizona so she can see the labels in dark. And of course I must agree that a set of? BOSE wireless noise canceling featherweights would let her be more productive, less stress.
>From a person completely devoid of color receptors either color is fine.
